Just been to scarlet. the food was amazing, very fresh and tasty. the portions were a very decent size although the drinks are a bit pricey. we sat outside and the service was perfect.
overall this was one of the best indians i have been to (close to tayyabs and zeera), p.s you have to try the movenpick icecream the best icecream in the world.

Excellent, buzzy restaurant. Some of the best Indian food I have tasted. Portions are huge, but the food was fresh and light and not greasy, so we managed! Good selection of cocktails with a 2 for 1 happy hour.
Using the Taste card makes it good value, and I would definitely go there again.

I go to a fair few Indian restaurants, and so am quite picky about my curry. Don't get me wrong, I don't claim to be a curry connoisseur, but I would like to think I know a "good" curry.
Anyway, Scarlet Dot certainly ranks up there as one of the best curries I have had. The service was great, and the food not only tasted fresh, but was perfectly cooked.
Service was a tad slow, but I would prefer this than having it straight away, and wondering if they even cooked it fresh! Portions are a good size, and I would highly recomend the pasanda and also the rice with green peas.
Others enjoyed the lemon rice, but it was a bit too srong for me. Loved the real bits of lemon though!
I think it would be a bit steep without the discount, but with Taste it was superb value, and I am already planning another trip with friends.

Went on a tuesday night. The food was good simple indian food, the service was excellent, pricewise maybe a little steep without the taste card. but with it, well worth a visit.

Having been rejected by 2 other restaurants on a Saturday night a couple of weeks ago (even though I'm sure they weren't "fully booked" at 6.30pm) the Scarlet Dot welcomed us with open arms.
The staff were lovely. On being seated I dropped my bracelet down a gap in the fixed seating and the waiter was instantly running for a torch and a stick to retrieve it for me.
As well as the excellent service, the food was amazing and nicely presented. The complimentary poppadoms and dips were a great start. We shared the Scarlet Treat for starters, then both had classic curries for main (my cashew nut paste curry was amazing) with vegetable side orders (my spinach was so tasty). We shared a Gulab Jamun for dessert which was delicious. I also recommend the sweet lassi drink.
I was really impressed by the modern decor, the service and the quality of the food. I'm still talking about it and I can't wait to go again.

Brilliant, quick service and lovely tasty food.
We were made to feel very welcome, and we had no problems using our taste card, unlike it some other places we have been! A bit pricey but with the taste card it makes it very affordable. We will definately be back!
